Art Theory?
The Reading or Misreading of Artists and Poets Regarding "Art"

James Kalm MCs an open mike "poetry reading" featuring texts and quotes from some well and, not so well known artists. What is art, how is art, why is art, are just some of the questions perpetually asked by the artist individual. The answers, processes and conclusions have driven artists for centuries.

There will be presentations by well known local poet Michael Ruby whose latest publications include: Window on the City, The Edge of the Underworld, and Compulsive Words (published by Blaze VOX [books]), Publisher and Editor of Live Mag, the Brooklyn Rail Poetry Editor and poet Jeffrey Cypher Wright, and musing on the creative struggle by the blogger behind New Clean Blog (http://newcleanblog.blogspot.com/), creator of Art Bum Comics and artist Lawrence Swan. Cash inducements may be offered to the public for participation, everyone is welcome.
